Greenways Trail (D/B Wood Bridges, D/B Pedestrian Bridge End Bent Foundations, D/B Vinyl Sheet Wall)

Project Description:

Portions of the Greenway Trail project had to be contractor designed.  Trader Construction Co designed and constructed 273 linear feet of wooden boardwalk, 10 feet wide.  The wooden bridges had over 80 individual 10” wooden piles driven to 20’ embedment.  A 70-foot steel truss clear span bridge was designed by others on this project, and Trader Construction Co designed and constructed the end bent foundations.  The foundations had 8 individual steel H-Piles driven to 30’ embedment.  Trader Construction Co also designed and constructed 720 linear feet of vinyl sheet pile wall for this project.  The vinyl wall averaged 6’ in height and consisted of soldier piles, whalers, deadmen, and safety compliant handrailing.
